Favorite D3MX teammate?: Lil Wee Wee boy. Jacob Brogan.
If you could marry a celebrity who would it be?: Brittany Snow.
Tell us something unique about you: I’m a cancer. I love long walks on the beach, and I hate sitting at red lights.
What do you ride?: Motocross..HA 2004 Honda CRF250R
How long have you been riding and racing?: Riding since about 7th grade, and I raced half of last season before breaking my collar bone. So I’m looking to complete my whole first season of racing this year.
Why do you like to ride/race?: I ride because it gives me a feeling that nothing else on earth can make me feel. Solitude and escape from everyday life is the reason I ride. Riding is a lifestyle, not just a sport. The nervous feeling that I get when I am warming up my bike on the line is the worst/best feeling I have ever felt. It’s the doubts and the fears, the excitement of getting to the first turn and the rush of adrenaline I get when I have the throttle pinned.
How did you come into the sport?: My teammate Zach Balderson got me into riding. I saw him on the bike and I told myself that I was going to learn to ride a dirtbike.
Best racing/riding accomplishment?: Sounds stupid, but I was proud when I got 3rd out of the holeshot. Landing the downhill double at fox run was crazy because just earlier this season I told myself I would never do that jump. Few months later…I guess it just happened.
What are your goals/plans for your motocross career?: I would love to tell you guys that I want to go pro, become famous, and make a living off of motocross, but lets get real. There are only about 100 people in the world who can make a living off of motocross...I can’t see myself being one of those hundred! For now, I guess I just want to further my riding skill, hopefully start getting some top 5 finishes and hopefully someday win a moto. I see myself racing for a long time in my future, it’s just one of those things that keeps me sane and I can’t imagine my life without it.
What was your first bike?: I learned to ride on Zach’s XR80. That thing was dope as duck. It got me around for the longest time, but then I decided it was time for something bigger. I bought my first bike my sophmore year in highschool, a 1999 CR125. Whichever one of those you want to consider my “first” is your call.
Best racing/riding memory?: Toooo many to even list..a few; tipping the four wheeler in Iowa in the middle of the night, my first race, my parents coming to watch their first race.. I don’t know..to be honest, just being out on the track with my friends or trail riding with my friends and family is a memory each time we hop on the bike. Memories are made from seat time. Being on the bike is making memories.
Have you ever had any injuries from racing?: Broken collar bone. August 7th. I-80. First day on my 250. Came up short on a double/triple and went over the bars. First broken bone in my life.
Favorite track you've ridden at?: I love riding at Spring Ranch in Deweese. We don’t get a lot of practice time out on that track but on our circuit, Spring ranch is for sure the best kept track and it always a goodie.
What do you prefer to ride/race? Motocross, Supercross, or Arenacross?: Motocross, just something about being in the outdoors. Being in the wide open. Throttle pinned wide open. Nothing beats it.
What are your goals/plans for the 2010 season?: My goal for this season, finish. I want to complete the whole season without any injuries or anything. A trophy would be nice at the end of the year, but if not, hey, oh well. I keep telling myself I want to trophy in a race as well, but I guess that will come with time!
Got a Facebook or anything your fans or anybody contact you at?: Facebook, search the name. Twitter, hit me up. JZ2710.
